One morning in the mountains,
The golden light cracked open the sky,
As if announcing an adventure.
The wind roared wild,
Stirring leaves into spirals.
My heartbeat quickened,
Matching the pace of the rising sun.
A cliff edge waited ahead,
Calling with dangerous beauty.
I stepped forward,
Feeling the thrill sharpen the air.
Echoes rumbled from distant peaks,
Like ancient drums awakening.
A hawk sliced through the horizon,
Fierce and free.
The ground beneath me trembled—
Or maybe it was just my pulse.
I felt alive,
More than ever before.
The world stretched wide and wild,
Daring me to chase it.
The golden light burned brighter,
Catching in my breath.
And in that moment
Fear became flight.
