Tempest of the Heart

Our love first stirred like wind upon the sea,

A trembling wave that drew your soul to me.

Your touch was lightning dancing on my skin,

A spark that woke the storm that slept within.

I felt the tides arise with every glance,

As moonlit hopes began their tender dance.

We walked through dawns where rosy clouds would part,

Soft rain of longing falling from the heart.

Your whispered words became a velvet gale,

A breath so warm it filled my every sail.

We burned like lanterns through the wildest night,

Two wandering flames that leaned toward the light.

Though tempests rose and shadows tried their art,

Your steady pulse beat harbor in my heart.

Through whirlwinds fierce I held your promise near,

Its gentle glow outshining doubt and fear.

And even when the skies began to weep,

Our crimson vows ran fathoms wide and deep.

Now calm returns where once the storms would rove,

And peace is found within our boundless love.
