GOLD, BLUE, MAUVE AND PINK...

The clear blue sky with a splash of mauve-pink
As the golden sun smiled and slinked,
Shining out from the conifers,
Rays out of the branches filter
And colour the sheet of snow,
Setting it aglow,
The sky colouring it in its own reflection,
Colouring in the hues of its love and affection,
Snow forming small peaks
Over the rocks' cheeks,
Cool breeze saunters
By, as my steps wander,
Soaking in the beauty of nature,
An illustrated gift, from the 'Creator',
Gracious nature,
Like that of a mother,
Merciful,
Bountiful,
Ever giving,
Forever forgiving,
Although we damage and vilify,
Try to stultify,
Its immense beauty,
God's own creativity.

A live painting on the canvas of Earth,
Lively and full of eternal mirth,
Nature's generosity suffers no dearth,
Always smiling, hospitable, inviting us forth,
I wonder at its magnanimity,
The light weaving intricate designs in dimity,
Am awestruck,
Sitting dumbstruck.
My heart humming the melodies
That the wind sang, with sweetened sensibilities,
Soaking in the beautiful pink and mauve
Of the landscape, like a painting of Fauvs,
Thinking of ways to return back nature's generosity,
Whom we treat with atrocity,
Vowing to preserve
And conserve
This beauty that my soul soaks in
Till eternity, like a kin,
Sitting there like a statue
Cold breeze brush against my cheeks, go into my bones too,
As the hours roll by,
I bid bye,
Promising to come again to see the play of light,
Of dancing colours bright,
Bathe in the experience and drink
To the full, the beauty of gold, blue, mauve and pink.
