THE LAMPS ARE DIFFERENT BUT THE LIGHTS ARE SAME

So many birds,
Different herds,
Wings of different shapes and size,
But all towards the sky rise,
To reach the sky they aim,
Not to get name or fame,
Flying high, the different frames,
But the flights are same.

Different creations,
So many formations,
Earth, snow, water,
Mountains, peaks, fire,
Trees and animals,
Humans and mammals,
Different in names,
But life is same.

Different races,
Their own chases,
Different complexions,
A myriad of sections,
God's own reflection,
In the earthy environs,
But same is the red blood in the veins,
The heart beats too are all the same.

A million stars
Twinkling afar,
Some small,
Some large, shining all,
The stars different,
All but significant,
Shining like calm flames,
Showing us same lights, shining same.

The lamp earthen,
The hanging lantern,
Burning candle,
The bulb on an ornamental angle,
The chandelier magnificent,
All with lights glimmer and glisten,
Colourful and aflame,
But the lights remain the same.

So many faiths, so many religions,
People who are Hindus, Sikhs, Christians,
Hebrews, Jains, Zorastrians,
Shintos, Budhdhists and Mohammedans,
All showing the path to true happiness,
Practising austereness,
Leading to my 'Lord', my aim
The paths remain the same.

Birds different, but flights are same,
Different creations, with life same,
Differently coloured races, but with heart and blood same,
A million stars shining same,
Different religions, the path same,
Different visions, but the eyes same,
Different roads to reach 'The Almighty' same,
Lamps, remain different, but the fiesty winds overcame
The lights burning within all, are the same.
