THE NEW GOLDEN DAWN
A cool breeze blows away from my face, my hair,
The fragrance of the morning in the air,
The nip tickles my skin,
As fresh air flows in.
The night jasmine strewn on the ground,
Their sweet fragrance all around,
A picture of orange and white,
Shining like stars bright.
The dew drop on the colocasia leaf,
Shines like a pearl on a emerald heap,
As the breeze plays a tune on fife,
The pearly dew smiles bright, dreading not its short life.
The cock and hen get set to work,
Waking all up, with a few grains as perk,
Cows welcome with a moo, the sheep bleat,
The sprinting lambs run around my feet,
The new sunlit horizon,
Commotionless, peaceful golden waves of the ocean,
Also call and beckon
To wake up from my slumber, get going, all set in motion.
The new golden dawn,
Has risen to travel on,
It is time for us too, to travel through a new day,
Make hay, reach our dreams, before the sun ran away.
