THE BROKEN WINGS....
She flew around like a beautiful fairy,
Stopped, danced, then flew again as her mood varied,
Around the gardens she flew and the praries,
Was not wary of any parry.
She was an angel,
Loving and faithful,
She shone bright as the rigel,
Smiling always,never disdainful.
She won over hearts,
Her own flight she did chart,
She sprayed love in a squirt,
Bringing in love and cheer were her forte.
Then why did they break her wing?
Twisted and wringed
The feathers, made her turn and swing,
Abetting torture, her entire self they were abusing.
All she wanted was a world happier,
Bring joy to all, breaking all barriers,
Her feelings they put in a bier,
Turning her beautiful wings into a brier.
Her fault was charting her own flight,
To create a life beautiful and bright,
Without any fright and fight,
That is what they wanted to benight.
They could not fathom an angel happy,
They could not tolerate someone scrappy,
They wanted her to follow them like a puppy,
Depend on them, forever, be unhappy.
So mercilessly they tore her off,
Her ambitions they would always scoff,
They stripped her of her wings before she again took off,
To her happy flights, they put a full stop.
