HUMILITY
Pride goes before a fall,
Humility stands tall,
This is what Mummy told,
My tiny hands she would hold
Guiding me to modesty,
While honing my inner qualities.
When growing up
My situations would lead to build ups
In my heart and mind,
My anger would hide behind
All the humbleness
From my parents an inheritance.
Pain and sufferings around and to it the human blindness,
Taught me empathy and kindness,
To love equally all my brethren,
Trying my best their sufferings to lessen,
With no traces of pride
In my eyes open wide.
Life has taught me to wave away shades of meanness,
But fought against all my weakness,
Fighting the ills of my little world,
Quietly picking all the stones, that life hurled,
Still full of warmth, without bleakness,
Please do not take it, in anyways as my meekness.
My love taught me to be more genial,
Full of love and affable,
Be easy going and amiable,
In my love be truthful, honest, strong and stable,
Without any pride artificial
Me in my world so beautiful and real.
My heart is like a happy baby,
A little wild, a little crazy,
Flying around, without inhibition,
Nor any signs of self doubting diffidence,
At small little hurdles, I still stumble;
But with a smile I go on, stay grounded and humble.
