RAY OF HOPE
The sun goes down,
Ambering the whole town,
With it the red of my heart mingles,
The leaves and the breeze playing the love jingle.
The golden ball, the lonely, dusky evening,
The caressing soft leaves, increase my longing
For you, along the silvery clouds' awning,
Sweet emotions come thronging.
The dancing leaves tease me with your touch,
Soft and resembling your ferl so much,
I shrug and shrink and turn pink,
Seeing me blush, the naughty Sun too winks.
Playing hide and seek
Amidst the clouded heaps
Of pink, orange,amber cotton,
It disappears, all of a sudden.
The reddish hue reflected in the carnations,
Adding colour to my emotions,
The cool, singing breeze sets aflutter
The thumping heart, as the mind stutters.
Slowly the colours give way to grey,
To reveal a twinkling array
Of shining stars stitched to the silky sky,
Glittering and happy as my eyes.
The breeze brings in the chill from far,
Maybe from where you are,
I smell you in the floating air,
Feeling you here,to me very near.
Your feel warms me up,
Swaying are the buttercups,
Their yellow standing out in the dark,
A meteor races across like a spark.
I get up to go inside,
Feeling you beside,
Enveloped in your loving warmth,
Stepping to get lost in a dreamy labyrinth.
The moon peeps in to see me safe,
But I am with you in my thoughts, not a waif,
I send my kiss to the moon,to you to take,
To send again on the morrow,a promise I make.
With new hopes I try to sleep,
You in my heart,plunged deep,
New dreams fill my eyes making them heavy
With sleep,my eyelids drooping already.
The new golden sun, will usher in a new day,
Where beauty,imaginations,new dreams lay,
A ray of hope of you coming to me, loving me,
Hopefully tomorrow I will see thee.
