MASHIMONI

Now that today you are no more,
I miss your presence all the more,
Heartbreaking is your absence,
Without your voice there lingers a still silence.

Gone are your chitter chatter,
Your infectious laughter,
Will never see you moving around the whole day,
Your smiling face happy and gay.

Will miss the lunches sumptuous,
Filling and scrumptious,
The lovely hands those cooked were blessed,
Now they will be immensely missed.

It was dreadful to see you still and lifeless,
With all the pipes and wires in you, ruthless,
With fingers crossed,we waited for the inevitable
And you went your way, though undesirable.

Strange are His decrees,irrevocable ,
Not at all by your dear ones preferable,
Wish you were still with us creating happy memories,
Now you are gone, away from all life's miseries.

As I take a day and think about it all,
I think it was a fair call
By Him,to relieve you of your sufferings,
Of all your pains and agonies.

Life is transient
And we all mere fragments
In this vast creation of His,
Makes us realize how supreme His power is.

Our stay here is transitory,
Short and temporary,
Everything that comes here, has to go,
As I age, I reflect and calmly accept so.

I am sure where ever you are
You are your lively self there,
Happy among your departed dear ones,
With the beautiful angels having some fun.

Be happy and cheerful, my dear aunt,
Although here with us we still want
You; But rest forever in peace,
Your memories will live on,never cease.

While your sister and children cry,
Your husband,inconsolable,with swollen eyes,
I know Mashimoni, you are happier there,
The angels and fairies dwell where.

I know there will be a day when we all will meet,
That will be a day sweet,
With open arms each other we will embrace,
To see you again,I will wait patiently and with grace.

Will still keep loving you everyday,
Feeling your smile from far away,
Basking in the warmth of your motherly love,
Till I get to hug you again in the world above.
