DESTINY

It was not just Destiny,
Amidst time's serenity,
That planned our coming together ,
At times it was the weather,
The dampening,musty sorrows,
Of yesteryears,that our today borrows,
Even the rains have connived to make us one,
Two wet bodies and souls entwined, thinking of none.

It was not just Destiny,
But also our cecity,
That led us to ways separate,
To directions different,
Like two strangers,
Accepting the changes
That life threw at us,
Not even stepping on the shadows, ubiquitous.

At my sorrows,parched and dry,
You shoot a smile wry,
The attitude hurts,
Like a desert cactus,
Nursing the cuts bruises,
Minus the blood and juices,
I have learnt to be patient
With your attitude,so blatant.

Patient with you,the one who gave tears
To my eyes, all through these years,
Accepting you, the way you are,
Out of my reach,gone far,
You trekked a different route,
You hard hearted and astute,
I still wait for you in the candle light,
Under the dark sky and the black browed night.

I wait for the happy days to come back,
Knowing that ahead lay a dreadful track
Full of thorns, pebbles and mighty rocks,
I walk ahead to knock,
At your heart's gates,
Not knowing what awaits
My love for you ,
Still wanting to prove my love true.

Every evening I decorate
The house, with flowers and lights create
Beautiful designs,for you and await
Your return, into the dark night late,
In solitude, melodious song I sing,
Hoping the melody to bring
You back to me,
Not leaving everything to Destiny.

But this time on Destiny has its way,
By keeping you away it has its say,
Come back to me,you will never now,
Destiny will not allow
My love to do as my heart advised,
It will die to keep my heart deprived
Of your love,keep it wanting
And keep me waiting and longing.

You are the winner,
Destiny, my dear,
Everything to you loses,
Also dry up my flowers and roses,
My melody trails away,
Never will come the happy day,
I give in to you and lose all hopes
And the candle light is put off by the dew drops.
