The Eternal River

From Himalaya’s crown of snow,

To where the southern coconut trees grow,

Flows my India... vast, serene, divine,

In every heart her love aligns.

Her temples rise, her minarets gleam,

Her chants and bells unite in twilight dream.

The Ganga whispers to the sea,

“All hearts hum together, one in unity.”

Beneath her sky of golden hue,

A thousand faiths breathe in the air

The early worships and the prayers

Softly touch the morning dew.

From every home, rises a prayer the same,

For peace, for love, for her dear name.

A river of souls, both old and new,

Colored in different hues,

Flows ever strong, her waves raptorial

From times immemorial

Flowing together without much ado,

In unison, and ever true.
