The sun sank low through skies of amber flame,
Its breath a kiss upon the ocean’s brow.
Each leaf and bloom recalled his golden name,
While shadows stretched beneath the blushing bough.
The moon arose, in silence draped and shy,
Her silver glance cast soft across the trees.
She watched him fall beyond the painted sky,
A whisper riding on the evening breeze.
She longed to touch his fire with fingers pale,
To meet him where the sky and earth entwine.
A fleeting dance, where night and day prevail,
And stars bear witness to their love divine.
Yet nature parts them with a tender art
Two lovers bound, but always worlds apart.
