The course of true love never did run smooth

 Falling in love was easy,

To maintain the love one goes crazy,

There are obstacles and obstructions,

Innumerable hindrances,

Enemies and foes,

Many who oppose 

Your love,

In a corner they try to shove,

Some with words of wisdom 

That go against the romantic system,

Thorns of jealousy,

When rises love's intensity,

Boulders of enmity

That try to stop love's chemistry,

Muderous hands choke your emotions,

Try to throttle the passions,

But do not be frightened,

Nor threatened,

Tread on,

Your love will see them gone,

To calm you, you have the moon,

To show you the path, you have the dawn,

Love is a beautiful feeling,

It is self healing,

All pains and wounds will go,

Because you believed in love so,

Love is a truth

In a dreamy youth,

Do not get ever discouraged,

Love, trust,and keep courage,

Stay calm and in sooth,

For the course of true love never did run smooth.
