MAA...
And there is a mother,
Calm and cool,
Serene and beautiful,
Like the everchanging face of water,
Like the everflowing selfless river,
Always giving,
Loving and caring,
She cried with me and still does,
She laughed with me, she still laughs,
We laugh till we cry about the suffered losses,
We cry and laugh about the hits and misses,
They both(my mothers), keep me grounded and moored
Smiling at my idiosyncrasies with that warm kiss on the forehead,
Probably I am weak so God understood
That I will be broken and needed my Maa for good,
So before he took that Maa away with Him,
He gifted me with this Maa, to hold on to and swim,
Swim across this vast expanse called life,
He gave me another Maa to fall back on in the dark hours of strife,
Who would guide me with her wisdom to that ray of light,
Keep me boosted with that happy smiling face bright,
Mothers never change,
Seriously!!Mine look the same, is not it so strange!
The grey strands of hair and the heart warming smile,
That scary stern look awhile,
I know those expressive eyes,
I can read everything that there in lie,
As I swim in the never ending sea of motherly love,
Hiding in that lap, my secure alcove,
I am indeed blessed to have you Maa,
To have your love enwrapped around me forever.
