VOID

I felt an unending void,
As if the world stood destroyed,
Blankly I stared,
To take her away as they prepared,
Numb and dumb,
Listless, languid and emotionless,
The eyes dry as deserts,
The chaos and tumult inside betrayed the face
As I looked at her, so full of grace
Even in her everlasting sleep,
A sense of nihility slowly creeped,
Decked with flowers and what not,
My little heart was distraught,
It cried and shrieked,
Loudly screamed,
But she never heard,
Did not even speak a loving word,
She was in a hurry to depart,
To keep quiet my senses preferred,
"Hey girl! Bid her adieu,
See her one last time, will you?"
Unbridled the emotions then raced,
No time did they waste
And melted down in streams of tears,
Turned to reality my childhood fears,
She was leaving me forever,
Maa was going away, never to be seen again ever.
