REST IN PEACE
The soft caressing wind around them enwound,
Quietly they feel the frost, the wet rain, colours of spring and autumn,
But to the world now, they remain forgotten,
"Rest in peace" they are told,
Both young and old,
Frozen in time,
Same in all climes,
For known faces they look around,
But silence abounds,
An eerie silence,
A complete subsidence
Of warm feelings,
Far away from their being
Are love and warmth,
The cold tomb stone stands forth,
A sheet of white chill hangs,
Between life and death, an unending wait spans.
