THE TREE..

The tree looked up,
Her trunk alive with some pulp,
Bare branches trying to reach the grey sky,
Getting drenched by the clouds that fly.

Heavy clouds all, ready to burst
And spray the earth
With waters, rush and regurgitate
Bringing life to all, cause many a seed to germinate.

The once fruitious tree,
Trying to foresee
Her end, leafless,
Still deeply rooted, not emotionless.

"I have lost it all", said the barren tree,
The pregnant clouds did not agree,
Said they," till the time you have love brimming within,
Saplings, buds, flowers, birds and bees will come again and you will win."

The clouds showered her with waters generous,
That seeped in through her bark tenuous,
All through her veins to roam
Quenching the thirsty xylem and phloem.

She swayed in happiness,
Satiation was instantaneous,
Washed away were the sadness and gloom,
Eagerly she awaits the new leaves and bloom.
