DO I KNOW ME...!
I was pink and fair
With ringlets of curly hair,
Chubby and sweet,
Naughty and cute,
I ran around,
Without fears or bounds,
I climbed up trees,
Laughed loud, fluttered like the breeze,
Sang and danced,
Skipped, hopped, pranced,
In frilly frocks,
With friends in a flock.
I grew up chattering,
Drawing and writing,
Read
And debated,
Always scored well
As my report cards tell,
Grew up a girl as well as like a boy,
Playing with dolls, cars and other boys toys,
I would fix fused switches,
Play basketball matches,
Participated in and won competitions,
Trying to chart out my ambitions.
Fell in love,
Went with my beloved
To create a new world of colourful dreams
A stream of happiness life seemed,
With dream like situations,
Some trials and tribulations,
Two gifts of love were borne
My cute sons,
The family grew and doubled
With my pets too, with us huddled,
All through love flowed
As we petted and cuddled.
Enroute I found logic and reason
And my life's mission ,
To put forward a helping hand
Pulling up the downtrodden, helping them stand,
Help people live life,
To love life in happiness, sadness and strife,
Spread cheers
Distribute smiles,
Treat life with respect,
Not neglect,
Nor ignore
Anyone, but confidence in all restore.
I am a free bird,
Now I try playing with words,
Am a colourful butterfly
Soak in the blue sky,
The golden sun,
Aqua green ocean,
Touch up on the carnation and dahlia,
Pansies and gerberra,
Drinking from the cup of life,
With strains of music of the fife,
Loving all and hating none,
Each day my life newly begins.
I am still a child,
A little crazy and wild,
A traveller,
A vagabond, a wanderer,
Mysterious too and mystic,
Yet realistic,
To life addicted,
To humanity, committed,
Every day I rediscover
Myself, different facets I uncover,
Still really do not know me,
How can I then tell thee?
