UNENDING

A never ending horizon
And an eerie silence,
A dark sky bellowing
With fierce winds following.

Angry lashing of showers
Elongate the hours,
The destination seems far away,
Everything washed away like loose clay.

Nearby in a hamlet
She awaits
The return of her man,
Her heart racing fast to cover the span.

As silvery dark clouds
Travel along the never ending road,
A car stops screeching aloud,
Like her screaming desires in a quiet crowd .

Her eyes grope and feel
Lighting the womb of darkness, with her zeal,
But she stood aghast
When the lightening flashed.

Still and dumfounded she stood there,
Her dreams blown away by the howling air,
Out of the car came out her man, in gore
And before long, he was down on the concrete floor.

Time stood still,
Still, she stood, watching Destiny's will,
Her love tried to, but could not reach her,
Forever now, separated they were.

A never ending wait
Awaits the poor desolate,
Her gaze still follows the unending serpentine road,
Where the unending river of blood flowed.
