NAME
The anthropus onoma
Part of my persona,
A cognomen,
Denomination,
Bestowed by my parents dear,
Shining and austere,
Grew with me,
Like the backyard tree,
Bright and tall,
Loving all,
The birds,the bees, the humans,
Dogs, animals, children, orphans,
All having names
But not the same,
All different and unique
In manners and physique,
My name did give me confidence,
The strength to fight all consequences
In life,
Fight all strife,
Smile and be happy,
Full of the 'joy juice', all sappy,
Striding along
Singing life's beautiful songs,
Working and writing,
Loving,
Caring,
Reciting,
Till my name recreated itself
And slowly I found myself.
It is all in a name,
Your being, your works, the burning flame,
Your glory, your repute, your fame
All carried the same
By that one word your parents gave,
You recreate, goes with you to the graves,
Stays beyond life, even when a star you become
Everything you stood for, it saves and reclaims,
Yes it is your name!!
