ME AND MY BOAT
Me on my boat,
With a colourful sail afloat,
The waves dipping and bowing,
Both of us flowing
To where the breeze guided,
To unknown territories it led,
Places where sound stood still,
Near the woods, went past the hills,
Where swayed the coconut trees,
Along with the bushes, near the coppice,
Rising with crest,
The water wetting my vest,
Falling with the trough,
Without a bother as the winds scoff,
The salt settling on us,
Both enjoying thus,
Dancing dolphins,
Splashing in the ocean,
With the sun's rising degrees,
The beautiful sea anemones we could see,
We viewed the lovely corals,
Surprisingly looked at us, the flying sea gulls,
I look for oysters and pearls
And mermaids with golden curls,
As the clear blue water swirls,
Riding on it I feel like an Earl
Travelling through his territory spread wide,
The fish chaperoning beside,
We both enjoy, both me and my boat,
Sailing away to shores, far and remote.
