AS YOU SOW,SO SHALL YOU REAP
As you sow, so shall you reap,
Our elders thus did teach,
The cycle of 'Karma' will always bring back to you,
Fruits of what you sow.
Goodness begets goodness,
Kindness brings back kindness,
Evil will bring evil, good will get back good in future,
Beware! Do not be evil or harmful to others.
We pollute the rivers,
In return get poisoned water,
We dirty the environment,
Giving rise to several problems.
We keep adding carbon dioxide in the air,
Make the green jungles bare,
Instead creating concrete jungles,
Adding on to our problem bundles.
The bad air,
Giving rise to respiratory diseases rare
To both us and our children,
Leaving it also for the future generations.
When the green cover is gone,
Rainfall will be scarce and none,
Rivers will reduce and dry,
Glaciers will shrink, melt and cry.
There will be less harvest,
With less room to cultivate,
There will be widespread hunger
And malnourishment; to whom will we turn for succour?
Take care,
Of our Earth and 'Mother Nature',
Be aware of the consequences
Of our actions, driving us to damnation.
Be good to yourself and all others,
Everything living is a part of the 'Creator',
Do no harm, nor pollute,
Lest you get bitter fruits.
Check your actions,
For they come with reactions,
At times good to our satisfaction,
Remember, bad actions, also bring devastations.
We must do good, spread cheer and goodness,
All that will gift us with a clear conscience,
Make our lives smooth and cheerful,
Never leaving us broken and tearful.
So think before you sow,
Lest 'Karma' comes back with arrows and bow,
Keeping track of our deeds chart,
Piercing and tearing us apart.
As good seeds get us a good crop
And bad seeds end up with our eyes shedding tear drops,
Similarly goodness will always bear fruits of goodness in life,
Helping us keep happy and cheerful, in good company, even in moments of strife.
Karma gives you what you deserve,
It is always watching you and observe,
So keep the field clean and rich with harvest of goodness,
To reap fruits of joys and kindness, in abundance.
