THE RED EMBERS..
The kohl dark night,
A flickering light
Of a lamp
As companion
In the cold darkness
Soothes and lights up
The surrounding,
Keeping the hopes alive
For the fulfilment
Of a promise unkept!
In this solitude,
Silence plays a beautiful song
For me to hear,
The flicker
Of the flame playing
Like a musical instrument,
Far away the crickets
Too sing in tune
Philharmonic,
In complete symphony.
The rain drops too
Break my trance,
Each time they embrace
The glass panes
Of the windows,
The clouds with their deep roar
Every time scare,
As I long for you
Your feel,
Your absence is felt in utter pain.
The cold and bleak
Walls of the room
And some murky memories,
A cold quilt
Trying to provide
Some warmth
Wrapped around
Me, still I shiver and quiver,
When your memories
Travel through my veins.
Sleep awaits
At my doorsteps,
The eyes prevent
Their entry,
They claim to be owned
And devoted
To many colourful dreams,
How could they then bequeath themselves
To disturbing sleep?
I sit in between, in plight, with a heart throbbing.
You are miles away,
Still entwined
Around my body
In a tight embrace,
My heart your abode,
My breath too
Bear your name,
Your name colours up
This colourless, dark night,
Pulsating in my red heart, is your love bright.
Red are the embers
That glow in a corner,
Burning and dying
Like me quietly
This silent night,
In solitude,
Some feelings wriggle
And fidget, when
With wide open eyes, I wait for you,
Holding on to the racing heart beats.
Pink desires
Dance and bounce,
Stubborn to unite
With you,
Going crazy,
A little insane,
My heart too speaks unrestrained,
Fluttering and gallivanting,
Some emotions still smoulder,
A deep fiery red, just as the red embers.
