QUEEN OF MY HEART

The chirping birds wake me up,
I get started with a jump
And hop around in joy,
I was a happy child waiting a new toy.

I walk past the morning sun,
My shadow along with me runs,
The pearly dew drop trickles,
Falling on the scattered night jasmine in a drizzle.

The colourful carnations and daisies,
The lilies and the pansies,
Sway and dance to make me stop,
With them to play, dance and plop.

Stopping by,
To gratify,
Ask them to wish me luck,
At my joy they were awestruck.

Run under the ochre-blue sky,
In an ecstatic state high,
Stepping on the cool velvety grass,
My feet gliding in a chasse.

Running past the tall old trees,
Listening to the music of the breeze,
Treading on the hard rocks,
Passing the grasslands with grazing flocks.

The afternoon sun
Is harsh and burns,
The cool air and the swaying leaves
Provide me the much needed relief.

Finally I reach the shore,
My feet touch the waves where the gulls soar,
The waves leaving behind the frothy brine
That with a pearly sheen, shine.

On the golden sands,
Where time waits and stands,
There waits my colourful gem,
Worthy of love's diadem.

My gem, the 'Queen of my Heart',
The reason of my existence, my part,
My only love, my dear life,
Alife, now and in afterlife, in happiness and in strife.
