BLUE

There is a full moon
Like a happy boon,
One half sits in the sky,
The other half in the water lies,
Smiling and radiant,
Glowing in the blue darkness like radium.

It is a mysterious scene,
The shadow of the trees claiming the water's lien,
The screech of the lonely owl,
A pack of jackals howl,
To scare me, the spread out dark branches
Of the trees too take their chances.

The toads croak,
Vapours as water, trickle down the oak,
A bat passes by flapping its wings,
The faint sound of rustling leaves ring
In the ear,
A bluish wind ruffles my hair.

The wind plays a eerie track,
The crickets raising a high pitched claque,
The velvety blue night
Invokes and invites
Me to reach out
And come about.

I come out on the muddy path
That divides the sky and water, a dainty footpath,
Like a deep blue ribbon running through the middle,
In a nervous walk, my feet on it twiddle,
Wanting and trying to come to you,
To become one with you.

I know you are waiting for me at the end,
Down the corner where the moon bends,
The direction of the breeze, leads me to you,
I think I am now enjoying this mysterious blue,
The radiant moon, the scary branches, the night blue,
The cool velvet cover of blue, leading me, my dear, to you.
