A LIVING PARADISE...

I slowly tread through the sand
With my little angels holding my hand,
The sun overhead blazes in fury,
The golden-umber sand shines in glory,
The waves coming in to deposit salt,
With cooling strains the land exalts.

My children walk happily beside,
One on my left, the other to my right,
As we embed our footprints behind,
Our shadows following alongside,
Me the father telling them tales
Of octupi, starfish and huge swimming whales.

We talk of dancing dolphins,
The little fish with shining fins,
Of giant sailing, smoking ships,
Mermaids and their trips
To the golden shore,
With their long golden curls, sitting on the sandy floor.

My little ones hear in amazement,
Trying to figure out things in the basement
Of the aqua green ocean,
Their faces with fleeting emotions,
As I their father sow a seed of universal
Love and care, drawing a dreamy circle.

I hope they come to match the footsteps left behind
Come back one day to find,
All beauty around intact,
Safe from the harmful impacts
Of man made disasters and pollution
Their small little sandy stretch and the huge ocean.

Hope we all find a solution,
Stop nature's beauty from becoming illusions,
We preserve them and care for them
As we care for our children like gems,
Leaving behind a living paradise, our beautiful earth,
For the generations yet to come forth.
