THE WOMAN IN WHITE
There she lay covered in white,
Her face pale in the day light,
Her eyes closed in forever sleep,
As people around her weep,
In pain and utmost grief,
But she rests in relief.
Her entire life, they ate
Her up like parasites,
Gnawing her up,trying to deflate
Her self esteem,killing her sprite,
Reduced to a mere stone,
Without any emotions,a cage of bones.
In her own world of a dingy space,
Cold,oxygen less,lost in a maze,
Without any of her race,
Her gaze was covered in a haze
Of her beliefs, her trust,emotions,
A gamut of senses and unbridled sentiments.
By her own people, she was battered,
Her heart broken to bits,
Her entire entity shattered,
Driving her down to the shabby pits
Of her own mind and thoughts,
Tying up her sanity into dark, tough knots.
Unable to make up in her mind
The good for her,to distinguish
Between the cruel and the kind,
She decided to ultimately banish
Herself from this scary world,
Slowly her eyes closed and everything blurred.
She saw them cry in grief,
Wasn't it a dishonest act in brief,
To show the world they cared ,
And in their tears their hearts they bared,
She laughed sitting in front,
Wanting even in death, to confront,
Her killers , her murderers,
Her heartless, wing clippers .
She wanted to tell them
To stop,to scream, to yell at them,
To be their true selves
And be true to themselves,
And if they wanted to act,
She wanted them to react,
With love towards her
And pure respect to her confer.
Lend to her an ear,
To her yearnings,her desires,
At least show their care,
In arranging the logs of her pyre,
To show some love finally,
And engulf her completely,
In the warmth of the fire,
Detangle herself from all brier.
She seeped in the freedom
Of her soul,leaving all boredom,
Mingling like a molecule, freely,
Smoothly and swiftly,
With the wind, the water, the sky higher,
The earth, the embers and fire,
Traversing all the lows and high,
At last her soul was let off to fly,
Without a trace of moisture in her eyes,
She flew away to touch the blue skies!!!
There she lay covered in white,
Her face pale in the day light,
Her eyes closed in forever sleep,
