THE PRICE OF GREED
Beautiful green mountains and hills,
Amidst a Godly beauty,peaceful,tranquil,
With flowers, animals and quiet secret alleys,
Cupped the lively, peaceful calm valleys .
Gurgling streams,chirping birds,
Small houses,cheerful happy humming words,
Tall trees,fruits aplenty,pretty blossoms,
Filled the happy Valley's endowed bosom.
Then the dynamites burst and ripped apart,
The strong and sturdy mountain heart,
Trees were ruthlessly chopped,
Looking for their broken nests the birds hopped .
The buds and flowers shrivelled and died,
As the Evil's eyes move and glide,
To kill Nature and fill the pockets
Of the high and mighty,in invisible jackets.
Do we have any right to destroy these beautiful valleys?
Blast up with dynamites,to make their buildings and Havelis!
Unearth and uproot the flora and fauna!
Why are we making Nature undergo so much trauma?
What goodness are we doing by hurting "Mother Nature"
Without any remorse, sadness,or an iota of fear,
Do we leave a barren, ugly earth for new generations
As an heirloom?Think, ponder, try to save what remains,
Before Nature's wrath unleashes and we look in vain.
Will we have answers to her Complaints!!!
